Theatre On The Edge
Theatre on The Edge is an exciting new Improv course for people age 18+ who have previous performance experience. This short, intensive course is performance based and culminates in a live show to family and friends.
After the success of the first Theatre on The Edge course, we are pleased to announce our second course is scheduled to begin on 21 February 2012.
No performer's training is complete without experience in improvisation. Not only does improvisation prepare you for the unexpected, it gives you the skills necessary for audition situations, where the ability to create a relationship instantly may mean the difference between success or failure.
At Theatre on The Edge you will:
- Create believable characters with strong relationships and stories that have meaning
- Use tried and tested techniques to learn the mechanics of spontaneous improvisation
- Start with games and scene work, then build to long form improv where the company create a play from audience suggestions
At the end of the course you will be unleashed on a live audience. Whatever's on the audience's mind is your raw material that evening.
21 Feb - 27 March 2012
Tuesdays 7:45 - 9:45 pm
