Come and have fun and learn new skills with Direct Theatre!

Each year Direct Theatre run a series of holiday projects, run and supervised by professional staff. These courses cater for all those interested in theatre and performing, however no experience is necessary. This projects are always great fun, here is what one pupil had to say about last years project.............................

'It's really exciting and you get to make new friends and play fun drama games. I like dressing up in costume for the final performance .'

Easter Project

This annual four day course includes workshops in dance, drama and improvisation and culminates in a performance of our work to friends and family. We produce a play in just four days! Each child has the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the production. This fun project is for all those with an interest in performing. A great opportunity to learn new skills and make new freinds.

Dates; Tuesday 6th April - Friday 9th April

Venue: St. Christopher's Church Hall, Burleigh Road, Southbourne

Times: 9.30am - 3.30pm (daily) Performance at 2.45pm on friday 9th.

Cost: £70.00 per pupil (£10 deposit required for all bookings)

Summer Project

A slighty more involved project, our aim is to produce a play in 5 days! Each year we write a play tailor made to the ages and capability of those involved. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in all aspects for the production, acting, dancing, set design and simple prop and costume making. The highlight of our week is a live performance on friday evening. A great fun experience and a lovely introduction to Direct Theatre.

Times: 9.30am - 3.30pm (On friday children stay with us until the performance at 5.30pm)

Cost: £90.00 per pupil including a t-shirt (£10 deposit is required for all bookings)
