Come and have fun and learn new skills with Direct Theatre School!

Each year Direct Theatre School runs a series of holiday projects, run and supervised by professional staff. These courses cater for all those interested in theatre and performing, however no experience is necessary. This projects are always great fun, here is what one pupil had to say about last years project.............................

Direct Theatre Summer School

Now in it's tenth year, we will be running our popular Summer School for children aged 5-14 years. We produce a play in just five days with a live performance to friends and family on friday evening. Each year we write an origional play tailor made to the experience and age of the those involved. Everyone has the opportunity to particiapte in all aspects of the production from acting and dancing to prop and set making. This fun project is for all those with an interest in performing but no experience is necessary.

Dates for July 2010

Dates: Monday 26th - Friday 30th July 2010

Times: 9.30am - 3.30pm daily (on friday children stay with us until the production at 5pm)

Venue: Immanuel United Reformed Church, 120 Southbourne Road,

Easter Drama Project

This annual four day course includes workshops in dance, drama and improvisation and culminates in a performance of our work to friends and family. We produce a play in just four days! Each child has the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the production. This fun project is for all those with an interest in performing. A great opportunity to learn new skills and make new freinds.
