Over the last academic year Direct Theatre staged 10 performances! These ranged from end of term showcases, holiday drama projects, several productions at The Lighthouse, Poole, two live improvisation shows at a local comedy venue and a full scale outdoor production within the gardens of a local museum. With over 60 pupils involved and new projects planned for 2010 its going to be another busy year!

What's next?

In March 2010 Direct Theatre will be staging an exciting new production at The Pier Theatre in Bournemouth. With a cast of 35 young performers, we will be entering the world of magic, fairytales and enchanted forests, but will it all end happily ever after?

''It's really exciting at Direct Theatre's holiday projects, you get to make new friends and play fun drama games.I Iike dressing up in costume for the final performance. Last year our play was about saving theplanet with Agents from The M2V Agency battling against the evil Dr Drax- It was really great'' (Elise 10 yrs).

'An Evening Of Comedy Improvisation'

Saturday 19th June at The Bourne Spring Centre, Springbourne, Bournemouth.

Our team of pluky improvisors (aged 5-19 years) battle to win the coveted 'DT Improv Cup'. A tough director challenges the improvisors to ever more daring feats of spontaneous brilliance while the audience cheer on their favourites. An unpredictable, lively, fun evening.
